Flyers Earn 4-2 Win Against Blitzkrieg
|
The Pennsauken Flyers and Port Huron Blitzkrieg played an exciting game.
The Pennsauken Flyers faced a tough opponent in Port Huron pitcher Steve Stewart, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Port Huron Park by a final score of 4-2 in 10 innings. Stewart went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The Blitzkrieg fall to 8-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2059 season.
Pennsauken used the timely hitting of Alanzo Gaufi to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flyers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Pennsauken manager Culley Adjeng called it "a good, solid win."
