Moore Lifts Brass to 6-0 Win
The Baton Rouge Brass beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 6-0, at Brass Field. Baton Rouge third baseman Les Moore led the way. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. John Mustard, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and no runs, while striking out 7 and walking 0. With the win, Baton Rouge goes to 12-7.

The Brass got a lift from second baseman Mike Henshaw Jr., who in the bottom of the sixth stroked a 1-1 curveball to center for a 2-run single. It was his 18th hit of the season and put the Brass ahead, 4-0.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Moore.
