Patriots Collect 5-2 Win Over Stingers
Boston starter Jesús Ramírez pitched well against the Toledo Stingers at Pacesetter Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-2, in 13 innings. The first-place Patriots are now 22-14, the Stingers 20-16.

Boston needed the clutch hitting of Bill Meeks to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Patriots on top, 4-2. For the game, Meeks had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"That's how you're going to be successful," said Patriots manager Brian Fahie. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
