Thanks in large part to right fielder Willie Griffin, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds beat the Baton Rouge Brass, 5-4. Griffin was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Ellenburg sits at 9-11.

Ellenburg second baseman Corey Howell made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the second. In the contest, Howell went 1-1 with a hit by pitch.
