The Boston Patriots defeated the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-4, in United States Premier League action at The Voodoo Lounge. Boston pitcher Roy Roberts had a standout performance. Picking up the save was 11-year veteran Iiri Lahti. Boston is now 19-18, while New Orleans is 19-18.

Andrés López came through for Boston when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a full count fastball to right field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.

"I always go out there hoping to contribute," said López.
