Ellenburg turned a fine outing from starter Tazz Jones into a victory over the Baton Rouge Brass at Brass Field. The final score was 4-2 in 10 innings. Picking up the save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Sancho Sánchez. Ellenburg now owns a record of 10-11.

Ellenburg needed the clutch hitting of Lou Pennington to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Fighting Dachshunds on top, 3-1. For the game, Pennington had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
