Machine Go 10 Innings to Beat Pennsauken, 5-3
|
The Montreal Machine topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 5-3, in 10 innings at Stade Olympique. The game was highlighted by the performance of Montreal pitcher Brian Hill. Montreal reliever Arthur Anderson snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Pablo Gonzáles shouldered the loss. At 8-14, Montreal is in 9th place in the Premier AAA.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Montreal. That's when José Sánchez, who is tied for 5th in the PAAA in home runs with 4, hit a 2-run home run off Pablo Gonzáles to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
Sánchez told a Montreal News reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
