Tritons Prevail, 6-4, Over Bakersfield

The home crowd had a good time watching the Bakersfield Nobles and Jersey City Tritons get after it.
The Jersey City Tritons picked up a win at Jersey City Grounds, downing the Bakersfield Nobles, 6-4. On the mound for Jersey City was right-hander Alfonso Rodríguez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Rodríguez. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was David Sullivan.
The Tritons got a big at-bat from designated hitter Rick Torraville. For the game, Torraville went 2-4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Jersey City a 1-0 lead.
