Behind the hitting of Tom Windus, the Baton Rouge Brass clipped the Nashville Hot Chickens, 5-4. Windus was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Brass. Héctor Peña snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 1.1 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. Anthony Bailey finished to wrap up his 1st save.

Baton Rouge took a 5-3 lead on Windus's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Norberto Dávila in the top of the sixth, propelled Baton Rouge to the win.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Windus told the Baton Rouge Today.

The Brass improved their record to 14-8 with the win over Nashville.
