Pajaritos Jolt Redlegs, 6-5, with Late Rally

The Norfolk Pajaritos handed the Sacramento Redlegs a 6-5 defeat at Norfolk Field. Center Fielder Bernardo López starred for Norfolk. He was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. The win belonged to George Hill in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Wang-fen Jia took the loss for Sacramento. The 6th-place Redlegs dropped to 11-12.
The Pajaritos were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 27-year old shortstop Phil Parks landed a big blow. He turned a 1-0 fastball from Wang-fen Jia into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Norfolk Field denizens into a frenzy and sent the Pajaritos home with a thrilling 6-5 win.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," López told the Norfolk News.
