The Hollywood Shredders did just enough to sneak past the Toledo Stingers, 4-3, at The Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood pitcher Chris Johnston, in particular, had a standout performance. Hollywood pitcher Clarence Butler got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sam Myers got the loss. Skip Lewis collected save number 9.

Gregg Curtis hit a 2-run double off Sam Myers in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Shredders in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Curtis had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.

"We ground out the win," said Curtis. "That's all that matters."

The Shredders raised their record to 15-23.
