Mexico City Upended, 3-2, by Hollywood
|
The Hollywood Bowl was the site of a competitive game between the Mexico City Blue Demons and Hollywood Shredders.
The Hollywood Shredders topped the Mexico City Blue Demons, 3-2, in United States Premier League action at The Hollywood Bowl. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hollywood pitcher Alex Thompson. In 6.1 innings, Thompson surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs.
Stanley Johnston, who finished 2nd in the PL in batting average with .307 in 2059, chipped in a 2-run home run for Hollywood in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Thompson said.
Hollywood occupies third place in the Premier League at 21-17.
