Flyers Win, 5-3, Versus Montreal
|
Montreal got a valiant performance from pitcher Rudolph Williams, but it wasn't enough to beat the Pennsauken Flyers. Pennsauken won the game, 5-3. Williams threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The Flyers improved their record to 16-8 by beating Montreal.
The result might have been different for Pennsauken, had it not been for George Myers. The center fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 3-2. For the game, Myers had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"Our team found a way to get it done," said Myers.
