Hollywood turned a good performance from starting pitcher Chris Johnston into a 7-2 triumph over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at The Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood sits in 7th place in the Premier League at 18-20.

Maverick Miller broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Shredders in front, 2-1. For the game, Miller drove in one run.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Miller.
