The inspired effort of Pennsauken left fielder Preston Wilson was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Syracuse Starks. Wilson went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Pennsauken.

The Starks got a clutch hit from left fielder Justin Armstrong. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Starks.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Homer Robertson.
