Wacher Rips 2 Home Runs in 5-2 Thunder Triumph
Douglas Wacher was a major contributor to the 5-2 Toronto win over Boston. The Thunder first baseman hit 2 home runs. Nelson Bennett, the winning pitcher, is now 5-4. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 3. Ron Murphy picked up the save for Toronto, his 11th of the year.

In the top of the first, Steven Dean ambushed a 1-1 changeup from Nick Hensley and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Toronto a quick 2-0 lead.

"Nice win," said Dean. "Not sure what else you want me to say."

Toronto now sits at 23-16, while Boston falls to 22-17.
