The Barton Springs Blues started the 2060 season not with a bang but with a whimper, falling, 14-2, to the Pine Island Dolphins at Blues Field. Center Fielder Bayanai Quindiagan was the top performer for Pine Island.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Quindiagan hit a bases-clearing triple off Gil Guerrero. It propelled the Dolphins into the lead, 5-2.

Said losing manager Francisco Pelaez: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
