Elite, Martínez Deal Rocketeers 5-0 Setback
|
The Detroit Elite went home winners at Detroit Stadium, thanks in large part to starter José Martínez. Martínez stifled the Seattle Rocketeers, enabling Detroit to grab the 5-0 win. The loss makes Seattle 20-19.
Martínez scattered 4 hits over 7 innings for the Elite. With the win, Martínez moves to 3-5 on the year with 56 strikeouts.
"We have a lot of confidence in José," said Detroit manager Dustin Hewitt.
