Green Lifts Tritons to 5-2 Win
|
The 4-hit performance of Derek Green helped the Jersey City Tritons beat the Montreal Machine, 5-2. Steffen Benton closed it out for his 1st save. The Tritons now have a record of 9-17.
Green contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Jersey City in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Green took a fastball from Lance Leslie and stroked the home run to center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Tritons to leap in front, 3-2.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Green.
