Barber Schools Casper in 3-0 Pine Island Triumph
|
The Pine Island Dolphins picked up a win at The Graveyard, topping the Casper Ghosts, 3-0. On the mound for Pine Island was right-hander Eugene Barber. He played a principal role in the triumph. Casper drops to 1-1.
Barber, who dominated for Pine Island, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. Casper batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Eugene mixed and matched," said Pine Island manager Alfonso Dolton.
