Big Day for Miranda as Lighthouse Down Shredders, 6-1
Getting a good performance from right fielder Raúl Miranda, the Long Island Lighthouse defeated the Hollywood Shredders, 6-1. Miranda was 3-3 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Lighthouse. Joshua Dobson picked up his 2nd save of the season. The loss makes Hollywood 20-19.

Long Island used a well-timed hit by Jerry Cure to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Bill Cheese told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
