Kille Helps Voodoo Defeat Kingfishers, 6-3
|
New Orleans left fielder Janpey Kille had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 6-3. Juan Castillo, the winner, improved to 4-6. He held the Kingfishers to no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Michael Wilson collected his 8th save.
In the bottom of the third, Kille had a 2-run home run for New Orleans. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Voodoo on top, 2-0.
"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Kille told the New Orleans Daily.
With the win, New Orleans pushed its record to 25-14.
