Fighting Dachshunds Get Past Jersey City for 3-2 Win

The Fighting Dachshunds grabbed a win, 3-2, at Jersey City Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Jersey City pitcher Bob Ashley. Ashley went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. The first-place Fighting Dachshunds have won 4 in a row.

Ellenburg went in front, 3-2, on Juan González's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which González hit in the top of the eighth, left Jersey City pitcher Augusto Gonzáles visibly perturbed.
