Dominant Performance by King in Kansas Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Kansas pitcher Carter King was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Mike McCauley, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2059 draft, nailed down the save. With the win, Kansas upped its record to 17-11.
King allowed no runs over 7 innings. He also racked up 9 strikeouts.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz.
