Red Pandas Get Past Milton for 3-2 Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and the Milton Dogfish Head, Vicente Medina was the difference-maker. The Sioux Falls right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. In 7.1 innings, Medina surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Robert Shirt picked up the save, his 7th.
Sioux Falls used the timely hitting of Eugene Huggins to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Medina said after the game.
Sioux Falls now sits at 12-17, while Milton falls to 13-16.
