Jersey City 7-2 Losers to Hot Chickens
|
The Nashville Hot Chickens got a strong performance from pitcher Norberto Dávila, who stymied the Jersey City offense en route to a win, 7-2, at Hot Chickens Park. Dávila, now 2-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The Hot Chickens, at 8-21, sit in last place in the Premier AAA.
Ramón Lemus made an early impact for Nashville when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with no one out in the bottom of the second, put the Hot Chickens on top, 3-0.
Said Jersey City manager John Sirica: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."
