Loss Spoils Fine Performance by Cantú
|
Pennsauken and Sacramento duked it out and the Flyers came out victorious.
Sacramento left fielder Ricardo Cantú had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Cantú belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, even as Pennsauken beat the Redlegs, 7-5. Picking up the save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Claudio Cortés.
Claude Thomas came through for Pennsauken with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. The left fielder went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 RBI.
"I do my best to contribute," said Thomas.
Pennsauken is now 15-15. Sacramento is 19-11.
