Shredders Lose to Voodoo, 10-6
The New Orleans Voodoo topped the Hollywood Shredders, 10-6, with first baseman Andy Jackson playing a big role. Jackson was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Voodoo in the win. Alex Thompson picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-0. He struck out 4 in 6 innings. The Voodoo now have a record of 26-14 with the win over Hollywood.

Fred Burton had a big solo home run for the Voodoo in the top of the fifth inning. With New Orleans leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a sinker from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Christos Waddington and swatted a home run to right. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Voodoo ahead, 2-0.

"It never gets old," said Jackson. "Winning, that is."
