Brass Suffer 6-1 Loss to Montreal
|
The Montreal Machine got a strong performance from pitcher Arvin Lawton. Hatch stymied the Baton Rouge offense en route to a solid, 6-1 win at Stade Olympique. Lawton picked up the win for Montreal, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. At 12-18, Montreal is in 7th place in the Premier AAA.
Ben Lewis, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA in doubles with 7, took Baton Rouge hurler Bhu Pahayahay deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Machine on top, 2-0. In all, Lewis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Baton Rouge manager Luis Ruíz.
