Tritons Lose, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring clash between Pennsauken and Jersey City, pitcher Felipe González was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-1 Flyers win. Lawrence Hayden picked up the save for Pennsauken, his 9th of the year. The 4th-place Flyers lifted their record to 19-12.
Pennsauken used a clutch at-bat from Ricardo Cantú to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager John Sirica: "We've got to find a way to push a run across."
