Liberty Reserves Lose at Home, 6-3
The Pennsauken Flyers grabbed a win, 6-3, over the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves at Liberty Reserve Stadium. Pennsauken first baseman Ricardo Cantú hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win was credited to Manuel Bernal in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jim Ball took the loss. The Flyers are now 16-16.

With Pennsauken leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Cantú batted against Philadelphia pitcher Jim Ball. Cantú hit a sinker to right for a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Flyers on top, 4-1.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Cantú, "and then get after it again."
