The Baton Rouge Brass took Hartford pitcher Luke Riley's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Brass Field. The final score had Baton Rouge getting past the Pride, 6-5. Riley went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. Reliever Earl Hicks picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Dusty McKee took the loss. The first-place Brass improved to 22-10.

Baton Rouge took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Kevin Archer hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Brass fans to their feet.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Archer.
