Milton beat Bakersfield at Jerome Grounds, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Kelvin van Enk. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Milton reliever Anthony Patterson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Mike Barraza was saddled with the loss. The Dogfish Head, at 14-18, sit in 9th place in the Premier AAA.

van Enk contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Milton in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, van Enk took a fastball from Van Hileman and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Dogfish Head to leap in front, 2-1.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said van Enk.
