The Buffalo White Walkers defeated the Toledo Stingers, 8-3, at Beyond the Wall. Buffalo was led by 2051 Newcomer of the Year Award winner Andrés Durán, who went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Gilberto Cruz. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Buffalo is now 22-18.
In the bottom of the fourth, Buffalo third baseman Juan Martínez had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Martínez stroked a run-scoring single to right-center. It made the score 4-2, Buffalo. For the game, he was 2-4 with a double.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau.
