Hayagawa Helps Nobles Defeat Squirrel Monkeys, 7-5
In the 7-5 Bakersfield win over Syracuse, the impact of Sotaro Hayagawa was substantial. Hayagawa, who is tied for 2nd in the PAAA in triples with 2, went 2-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Francisco Encarnación was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The 'W' lifts Bakersfield's record to 12-20.

With Bakersfield leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Hayagawa hit a slider from Alfredo Pérez for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Nobles ahead, 3-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Hayagawa told a Bakersfield Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
