Paulo Stars in 8-5 Pajaritos Win
|
Ofa Paulo had a 5-RBI game, during Norfolk's 8-5 triumph over the Pennsauken Flyers. Paulo contributed 2 singles and 1 home run to the cause. Robert O'Reilly earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-1. Picking up the save was fireballing right-hander Mario Pérez.
Avarua, Cook Islands native Ofa Paulo had a clutch at-bat in the top of the ninth for the Pajaritos. With Norfolk trailing 5-4, he hit a grand slam home run.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Paulo.
The Pajaritos move to 16-17 with the win, while the Flyers drop to 21-12.
