Flyers Earn 2-1 Win Versus Lynx
|
The Pennsauken Flyers did just enough to secure a victory over the Calgary Lynx, 2-1, in 10 innings at Lynx Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Jason O'Rourke. Claudio Cortés closed it out for his 9th save. With the win, the Flyers improved to 17-16.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out, Jacob Cox hit a 0-2 fastball from Todd Jackson for a run-scoring single. It put Pennsauken in front, 2-1.
"Tough loss," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan. "This one will sting for a while."
