Bletsoe Shines in 5-2 Ft. Worth Win
The bad news for the Buffalo White Walkers: an opening day loss, 5-2, to the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Beyond the Wall. The good news: it was just game one in a long season. No one played better than Louis Bletsoe. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Bobby Bowles, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Luke Corner closed the game out for Ft. Worth, earning his 1st save.

Francisco Alhama, the two-time Gold Glove winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Alhama contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Ft. Worth up, 2-0.
