The Jersey City Tritons wiggled past the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-3, in 10 innings at The Zoo in Syracuse. The win was highlighted by the performance of Jersey City pitcher Ed Davenport. The Tritons saw their record improve to 17-17.
Davenport gave Jersey City a blue-ribbon performance. The 6-foot-4 right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings of work.
