Emílio Lozano was a vital contributor to the 7-4 Bakersfield victory over Sacramento. The Nobles left fielder was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Bakersfield reliever Nick Johnston picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bernardo Hernández took the loss. Picking up the save was Jared Wilson, his 10th.
Bakersfield shortstop Sotaro Hayagawa helped the Nobles go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Hayagawa hit a run-scoring single off Sacramento pitcher Dustin Burgess.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hayagawa told the Bakersfield Today.
Bakersfield, at 19-15, holds down 5th place in the Premier AAA.
