Rainbeaus Hand Montreal 3-1 Loss
|
The Kansas Rainbeaus got a stellar effort from pitcher Bob Bradley, helping Kansas score a win over the visiting Montreal Machine, 3-1. Bradley, now 4-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Kenny Flint locked down his 9th save.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Rainbeaus had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when left fielder Edward Roberson hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Lance Leslie and made the score 2-0, Rainbeaus. Roberson went 1 for 4.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Bradley.
The Rainbeaus have now won 4 straight.
