The Montreal Machine got a sterling performance from pitcher Arvin Lawton, but the Nashville Hot Chickens still prevailed, 4-3. Lawton threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The Hot Chickens are now 13-22.

Nashville used the timely hitting of Terumoto Kondo to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hot Chickens on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
