Lynx Need Extra Frames to Get Past Blitzkrieg
The Calgary Lynx downed the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 10-7. The hitting star was center fielder Júlio Durán. Durán went 2 for 5 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Lynx. Christopher Tracy earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The 4th-place Blitzkrieg dropped to 19-16.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Durán delivered big-time for Calgary, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Rabi Tamir. The game-changing hit put the Lynx on top, 8-7.

Lynx manager Steve Duncan wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
