Late Rally by Red Pandas Locks Up 5-4 Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Sioux Falls Red Pandas eventually prevailed.

The timely hitting of Roy Berriman helped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas down the Bakersfield Nobles, 5-4. Berriman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Red Pandas. With the win, Sioux Falls pushed its record to 21-15.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Glen Ackland was at the plate when Sioux Falls scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Red Pandas to go in front, 5-4.

"Good win," said Ackland. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
