The Sacramento Redlegs scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Baton Rouge Brass at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Sacramento pitcher Mauro Ramírez held his own in the contest. Picking up the save was 36-year old right-handed pitcher Gerald Currer. Sacramento, at 22-14, holds down second place in the Premier AAA.

Jason Cholmondoley hit a 2-run double off Yoshimasa Sato in the bottom of the second, which put the Redlegs in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Cholmondoley had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Bottom line," said Baton Rouge skipper Luis Ruíz, "we didn't play well enough to win."
