Baton Rouge designated hitter Gerben Pauw picked up 7 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Florence Flamingos, 10-9. Getting the save was Earl Alaniz, his 7th. Baton Rouge now sits at 19-17, while Florence falls to 11-25.

Pauw had a big hit for Baton Rouge with one out in the top of the seventh. With Baton Rouge leading 6-5, Pauw hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Brass up, 9-5.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Brass manager Luis Ruíz. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
