Jerome Grounds was the site for USPL Triple A action featuring the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys and Bakersfield Nobles.

The Bakersfield Nobles picked up a win at Jerome Grounds, dropping the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-1. David Sullivan, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA in wins with 3, was the difference-maker. Israel Ramos closed it out for Bakersfield, earning his 2nd save.

Will Johnson, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA in stolen bases with 4, contributed to the Bakersfield win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Johnson told the Bakersfield Herald.

Bakersfield is 20-16 and Syracuse, with the loss, 15-21.
