Riding the 3-hit performance of the 30-year old right fielder Gwang-soo Deungjeong, the Alaskan Humpbacks stopped the Syracuse Starks, 5-2. The Humpbacks sit in 6th place in the Premier AAA with a record of 17-19.

The Humpbacks got an important contribution from first baseman Steve Covington, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 3-1 changeup into right for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Humpbacks ahead, 3-0.

Covington attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
