Flores goes 3-for-4 in Norfolk Win
|
The Norfolk Pajaritos beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 7-1, with major props going to designated hitter Juan Flores. On the day, Flores was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Pajaritos. Frank Vetter got the win, improving to 3-3. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Norfolk goes to 17-19, Ellenburg to 21-15.
Flores hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the first to help the Norfolk cause. The single, which was hit off Al Moore, allowed Norfolk to take a 2-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Flores told the Norfolk Gazette.
