The Baton Rouge Brass picked up a win at Brass Field, dropping the Bakersfield Nobles, 4-2. Jessie Wolfe, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in wins with 4, was the difference-maker. Wolfe yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 4-2. Today's win puts Baton Rouge at 19-19, while Bakersfield falls to 21-17.

Bill Barnes had a big 2-run home run for the Brass in the bottom of the third inning. With Baton Rouge trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 32-year old left-handed pitcher Nick Johnston and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Brass on top, 3-2.
