The Kansas Rainbeaus got a stellar performance from pitcher John Turner, who handcuffed the Syracuse offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Wichita Field. The winning pitcher was Turner, now 4-2. He tossed 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. The wins continue to add up for Kansas. The latest makes it 7 in a row.

The Rainbeaus got a big at-bat from third baseman Harvey Bush. For the game, Bush was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Kansas a 2-0 lead.
