Behind a fine performance from Ralph MacPherson, the Sacramento Redlegs knocked off the Calgary Lynx, 6-5. MacPherson was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Redlegs. With the win, Sacramento raised its record to 24-15.

Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Robert Price to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Sacramento manager Luis Ríos.
