Ng goes 4-for-5, Leads Jersey City to 12-4 Win
At Jersey City Grounds, the Norfolk Pajaritos and Jersey City Tritons were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Jersey City Tritons defeated the Norfolk Pajaritos, 12-4. Third Baseman Jing-zhong Ng deserved a large share of the credit. Ng was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Tritons. Derek Carter got the win, improving to 3-5. He held the Pajaritos to 1 run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3.

The Jersey City triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Mario Peña. In the bottom of the first, the Jersey City left fielder hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to the lead, 1-0.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Jersey City manager John Sirica. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."

The 6th-place Pajaritos dropped to 18-21.
