Baton Rouge right fielder Theo Belcher made his presence felt in the 7-6 Brass triumph over the Bakersfield Nobles. Belcher belted 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Michael Wilson earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Baton Rouge is first in the Premier AAA with a record of 25-14.

Baton Rouge went up, 7-6, on Mike Henshaw Jr.'s 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Henshaw Jr. hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Bakersfield pitcher Nick Johnston feeling deflated.
